General Description: Yellow Warblers (Setophaga petechia) are yellow little songbirds. Males are bright yellow overall with reddish streaks on the breast. Females are dull yellow, without red streaks.
Taxonomy: Passeriformes, Parulidae. Formerly Dendroica petechia.
Favored Habitat: Wet areas with shrubs and thickets. |

Where to Find: During migration, these little birds can be found everywhere. After migration, check Corn Creek, Willow Springs, the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, and the higher mountains.
